Dear Friends,
 
We are near the end of another year and I thought this would be a great time to pose five important questions for you. We become wiser when we ask ourselves the right questions and discover answers that focus us in the right direction. The right questions can offer you an opportunity to grow and consider better possibilities for your life. Over the next week, ponder these important five questions as you close out yet another year.
 
1. What is the biggest lesson God has offered me over the last year?  When we take time to learn the lessons that our trials and triumphs teach us, God is able to mold our character and use us in greater ways. When you ignore the lessons of life, you often find yourself repeating the same mistakes and enduring the same challenges time and time again.
 
2. What is my "divine assignment" at this stage of my life?  Our purpose can transform over a lifetime. In order to remain in synch with God's timing and purposes, we must seek His "assignment" in the various seasons of our lives.
 
3. This time next year, what would I like to see different in my life? In other words, what's my vision?  You need a vision for where you are going in the coming year. No matter how insignificant you think your life is, God wants you to be deliberate about setting goals and moving forward. God's word tells us to "write the vision and make it plain" (Habakkuk 3:2). That means we should write it down and make it clear and specific. Don't overwhelm yourself with a lot of "New Year's resolutions." Instead, choose something meaningful, even if it is a seemingly small change, and take deliberate steps forward.
 
4. What have I been procrastinating about?  Putting off goals and things that God has laid on your heart to do is stressful. Fear is often the culprit and the New Year is a great time to ask yourself if it is time to get unstuck and pursue certain goals or drop them altogether, thus freeing yourself from the burden of an incomplete task hanging over your head.
 
5. How could I make more of a positive difference in the lives of others in the next 12 months?  Our lives really aren't about us. They are about the purpose for which we were created. What is it that you'd like to do by this time next year that will impact others in a meaningful and positive way?
 
My challenge to you this week:
Be reflective this week and notice what you've learned and what you've accomplished this year. Celebrate your progress.

How to effectivly call a person on their bullshit.

Well folks, you first gotta get to where you can talk to a person. If their not calling you and you arent calling them this might not be something that you can do. Secondly, u cant be sad when doing this. Calling a person on their bullshit is no place for the "guilt trip". Be straight up! Let the person know what you're feeling and why it has anything to do with them. And hopefully they will be able to see that it doesnt sit too well with you.

 

Calling a person on their bullshit is a popular tactic but it definately isnt very effective for anyone but the party that is doing the calling. It makes you feel better inside knowing that your feelings are out there and in the mind of the person who made you feel this way. lol

 

Now last, be quick and to the point. Here is a good example, Your phone rings-----> Hello!------------>Yeah wassup ma? (A nigga acting like nothing ever happened)----------> Oh aint nuffin but im not really messin wit u right now----------------------->ahh here we go with the bullshit-------------->yeah here we go with me calling you on your bullshit. Listen dont call me and act like aint shit happen, you know we had a date and you never showed up. Look I dont see this going anywhere so lets sever ties today. Okay?

 

That was a simple example of how it goes, it could be simpler or more complicated. Just be calm and let em know. LMAO!!

I want to be easy but I have to be hard.

I want to be ultra nice and give second and third chances but it usually hurts in the long run so in order to protect my heart from and further "kick ball" treatment. I have to be hard. My being hard is still pretty easy tho, It only means calling a person on their bullshit. LOL Which is the title of my next blog post.

If I dont reply to your text, email, call, fb message, or twitter message, This means that I am not beat to talk to you. Turn right around and put your energy toward someone that has been hitting you that YOU havent been beat for. What comes around goes around (that is why I get back to everyone) I dont have time for friends that im not beat to hear from. You're either important to me or you're nothing to me.

Random Thought: A good thing

Now yall know im always here to put shit into prospective for yall. I guess most of us feel like we are a good thing or we feel like we have a good thing or we feel like we want a good thing. And we all know that our good thing may not be anyone else's good thing.

 

I recently found a damn good thing and now I want to posess this thing. But can I? See we are talking about a person here. Can a person ever really be ours if we did not birth them ourselves?

No lets go even deeper! Im a woman, am I supposed to be finding a man and trying to posess him. Or is this a mans role? I read alot of articles on this subject. And I have come to the conclusion that we make this shit alot more complicated than it really needs to be. If you want someone, let it be known. After that, if when you look up that person is there, that person feels that same about you. If a person knows you want them and they arent there next to you-------> With you is not where they want to be. And that is really all there is to it. Its simple.

 

As adults we have to try to make sure we are taking care of our business while also maintaining our wants and needs. So of course we have to try our hands at happiness. Its what we all want and for alot of us it drives us to do alot of things. I hope this article encourages everyone to get where they want to be and hold that spot down. Peace!

Clothes!!! and More Clothes!!!

Why do I love clothes so much? Most of the time they dont even fit me right. But the ones that do, I love so much. So I have a fantastic idea. Why dont I design my own clothes?? And make them?? I know some of you are thinking to your selves, If she makes it, it would probably be real fly. Yes I agree, thats why its time to start thinking outside the box. And stop paying all this damn money for other people to make stuff for you that isnt even TAYLORED to you.

 

First stop! Dinner with my creative editor Deemis. Aka the lady with the sewing machine. We will design and create a top then show pics of it on the blog. It will be casual and cute for the MILF that aint worrying about being a MILF and the COUGAR that aint worrying about being a COUGAR. Stay tuned!!

Well today I decided that I am going to give Facebook a break. Why? Because I do too much talking on their and too much looking at the page of the man that im loving. New Dawn, New Day, New Me!!!!

Well the blogger is back!!! And today begins my blogging about my raw vegan journey. today am going to begin this journey and anything that I have to report on this will be placed in this blog  this is coming from a black female who is about 60 pounds over weight, 36 and a diabetic. in an effort to save my own life and have a much better quality of life is the reason I'm going thru with this. am also giving up cigarettes, weed, and alcohol. To all that will follow me on this journey, I want you to know that I am totally new to this, I do not have a juicer (although I'm getting one) and I don't have a kitchen full of prepared vegan dishes. Once again, i am embarking on a new journey. RAW veganism. Thats right that's the way i said it. It seems to be the solution to my health and aging problems and normally i don't struggle with these things but wit this i do struggle.

Be Still

So much shit has happened since I last posted!! Lets see. I started a new fitness plan. Eating raw (love it). May 21st D day has past...yay!!! Im still on my celibacy grind...NICE!!! And I met a new person (not a love interest). I am currently reading a very good book that Im sure is going to change my life in some way. And oh yeah, I havent been keeping up on any of my shows.....dang it!!! But the most fantastic news of all is that I am BACK!!! I will be blogging everyday from now on. I have developed a life plan (new) and I will take the time to "be still" and do all the things that I need to do plus!!! Write out some things to my readers everyday. Beautiful skies!!

Over the past few weeks my town has been in the news for shooting. All of these shooting have been occurring very close to my home. I do have children and my children love to play outside. Fortunately we have a huge back yard and we live in the middle of the block so basically these beautiful skie don't have to go unenjoyed.

Well a few days ago I was standing at my kitchen sink and I could see my boys outside playing in the back yard of a church a few doors down from my house. The church is on the corner, so I began to think what is someone starts shooting? And bullets go flying? One of my children could be hurt, so I called the boys inside.

I really never thought that I would be afraid for my kids in my neighborhood. In an effort to try to stop the violence on May 28th there will be a festival in my town, Plainfield, NJ. I have got to be honest, I dont know how this festival is supposed to get this done but I am willing to do whatever I can to help out.

Without going all into my business, I have decided that there will be no more "no strings attached sex for me". Which is essentially what sleeping with a man that is not "your man" is. Even if he's not anyone else's man either.
I'm not having sex if you can leave my house and go sleep with another chick and I have nothing to say about it.
Men and women alike complain about what they want and how its not out there. I say that by the way you carry yourself and the way you behave you will attract a certain type of person all the time. And if for example you would like to meet more professional men, I guess you have to give off that professional vibe. If you dont get nothing but men who just want to sleep with you. Maybe you are putting that vibe out there. You cant keep reading a brotha his rights for trying to treat you like a bitch who is just gonna fuck him like that (snapping my fingers) if this is indeed the vibe ur giving off. Its not his fault, if all the women that he talks to sleep with him quickly. He thinks ur her. Is he worth you showing him that you are not a ho? Who cares? Are you willing to show yourself that you are worth and deserve more? That is the real question.

Ladies he doesnt need to see how it is to sleep with you in order to know if he wants you. I cant tell none of yall what to do but I feel we need to hold on to our sex until were sure.....that is if this is what you want.

Okay Good morning all, I just wanted to put this out right quick.
I am not a music blogger, but I am a music lover!! And I am going to let yall know when I come across some hot shit. So if I aint never gave yall no usefull info yet, Im giving it to yall today. It is a MUST that you try to get whatever you can get by Frank Ocean. <~~~~ Linked to his twitter page.  The first time I heard anything from him was around March 20th, give or take a day. I was picking my kids up from school and Hot 97 (New York Radio) played new music, his song "Novacane". The beat is hot, you definately need that bumpin in your car when the weather gets hot and the asses come out. Its really something to bounce to. The lyrics are grown, sexy, and club banger ready. Shit for all I know, its already a banger. Cause my ass has not been up in the club. Ladies, I dont know what this man looks like but he sounds like he looks good as hell. Of course this brings me to the voice. Personally. I love a new artist with a voice. A catchy tune will make you bounce but a smooth voice is what makes you fall in love and makes you follow a nigga. And that is what I did today, I followed him on twitter!!!

Anyway, after hearing "Novacane" only once, I remembered it, and started talking to my friends about it. And I started searching the web and found a mixtape. Why did I do that?? Well, I have to say that I have grown to love Tuesdays so much because today is the day that albums drop (for the most part). So, im going to give my thoughts on the new music that i care about. Musiq Soulchild MusiqInTheMagiq. First of all, his voice is fantastic. Now for my musical taste, tracks 5, on down are bangers, my favorite so far "be friends". Lets Talk Hair!

Good Morning To the Grown And Sexy!!!

Well if you've seen my pics you know that I have short natural hair. I did my latest big chop on Sept 1st, but I have been doing alot of cutting because I've been doing alot of coloring. This summer Im gonna let my hair grow, only cutting every 8 weeks or so and Im gonna color it one time before summer.

Products that I use.... V05 conditioners, you know the ones that are 99cents at walmart? This product is what I use to wash my hair. And also de-tangle my hair. I dont use shampoo on my hair at all. I am very satisfied at how my hair is now.
Hair Skin and Nails Pills
I swear by hair skin and nails pills. For me just about any kind works. There are some that alot of ladies on you-tube rave about but I just went into my local health food store and got a bottle for about $20. They are working great. I dont however like the pills that you have to take more than once in a day, these pills are really big who the hell wants to have to keep up with that?
Moisturizers!
Depending on the type of hair that you have and if your hair is natural, you may need a heavier moisturizer. Me, I can use the heavy stuff because I like to weigh my hair down. I actually love the pink oils moisturizers and also Jamaican mango and limes island oil. I know that oil is for locks but its very soothing to the scalp and healing to hair and scalp. I am not being paid to say anything about any products so this is why im going easy on the name dropping and im not showing any pics. Im just telling you guys what I like to use.

do you know how to love?

First of all, I think the best thing we can do for others is be good to ourselves. And we all could use a good lesson on that I guess, from losing weight, to watching our mouths.
But loving another, can you do it right? Or is whatever way you love supposed to be the right way to someone someday? Nah thats not the way were gonna think. An abuser's love will never be the right love for anyone right? So maybe we need to be conscious of the way in which we love someone. That doesnt mean mask up until ur sure you got em and then take the mask off and scare the shit out of em. No! Lets first try not to put the mask on, to ensure that we are being loved for who we really are.
Okay now, lets talk family. I for one, cant stomach it when a person starts telling me how they dont mess with their own fam. I mean I know people can be fucked up, but is it you holding on to whatever it is, that is keeping you from moving on? You have to forgive other peoples bullshit in order to move on. Im not saying you have to mess with them on any level. But the whole avoiding family functions because of a few bad apples in your family is not good. Now im no expert, I actually live very far away from most of my family, had we grown up together I know full well I would not be messin with some of them, but to the point where we never speak..nah. I can always find a use for a person in my life. Which brings me back to knowing how to love.

I have recently realized a very negative thing about myself. I am a user. Now I have my strong peoples in place. But outside of that circle I have friends and family that I will only call if I need them for something or other. Even if its just to make me feel better when im feeling low. I really dont mean no harm, I just wonder, is this the right way to love? Should I make sure to spread myself thinner in order to love extended friends and family right?
This is one blog post that I really need some comments on.
As for loving someone romantically, I cant beat myself up over all the messing up that I have done in this department. Im convinced I cant do it. But that may be due to not coming in contact with the right dude yet. All I know is that I can rock with anything that looks, smells and feels good to me...ya heard? But at the moment I am as single as a dollar bill. But when Mr. Right comes along, he is going to the luckiest man in the world. Nuff Said About Me!

To sum this post up,
I feel that loving is first liking. Look upon the subject that desires your love. Do you want to do it? Is it too demanding? Is it stressing you out? I feel like it should be effortless. Call me crazy but maybe this is why I am sitting here man-less. Nah I doubt that. But there are just somethings that you dont know for sure. I know Im all over the place today, Just make sure your love is on point and dont tolorate nothing less from the people loving you.

3. Infidelity: an act or instance of disloyalty.
Please understand, there is alot of this going around, we are doing it to ourselves!! You gotta do you at all times, and another nigga cannot get mad at that cause they should be doing them!!! Bang!!!

5. The Low Stress Diet.
Its Damn near May 2011, and for the rest of the year this is going to be my new thing!!! My system cannot process the bullshit. Im on a no stress diet, for me that means that I cannot add a new person into my life at all, only regulars can play in the no stress environment. And it also means, Im not doing a damn thing that I dont want to. Now you all know that I am going to be bloggin all summer! You will be able to detect anything that I'm going thru. Yall need to do the same too!!

Avon's "Nailware" nail color is worth whatever their charging for it over there, I have had this polish on for a week, now is when I usually have chipped polish, especially since I took a weave out with this polish on. Love it!!!  Here's a pic!
